Who We Are

Unlike many basketball brands, Doc, the owner of Mr. Get Buckets, played at a very high level in high school and AAU. However, he always seemed to be under the radar as a player. Doc’s persistent hard work in high school, ultimately led to a Division I basketball scholarship. After playing multiple positions, in college, Doc truly learned the art of getting buckets. Doc became a four-year lettermen, a sixth-man, a two-year captain, a starter, an all-conference leader, a conference champion, and a NCAA Tournament participant.

Mr. Get Buckets was a term initially born out of dorm room arguments Doc had with his teammates and friends in college to describe the most elite scorers in the game.

Fast forward years later, after going to hundreds of elite youth AAU games and tournaments with his son, Doc saw the work being put in by all the kids looking to level up their game. Doc then realized only the same kids were being acknowledged by the so-called experts.

Doc explained, “As a fan, I would look at the so-called best whatever-grader on one court and see that they were good. However, I would look onto another court and see a kid, maybe no one knew, playing against similar competition also getting buckets. I then realized those were the kids that needed to be acknowledged”.

  • Mr. Get Buckets represents someone who perfects their craft, when no one is watching, so they can "get buckets" when the lights shine the brightest.
  • Mr. Get Buckets represents that confidence that is shown when you know you cannot be stopped on or off the court.
  • Mr. Get Buckets represents your acknowledgement that you are tired of being overlooked or under-acknowledged and that from now on you will—“Let Your Gear Do the Talking”

Doc has one question for you:

Are you MR. GET BUCKETS? I KNOW I AM!
